Fairy Glen is a privately run educare centre under Karen Chilton’s longstanding leadership. It brings together a Toddler Centre, a Pre-School Centre and an Aftercare Centre, caring for children from approximately 2 to 10 years old.
At the centre of it all is a simple belief: children need a safe, loving environment to develop their potential. Here, learning and growing happen through play, supported by opportunities to create, explore and connect.

Our school life includes library visits, educational shows, baking, science experiments and gardening, alongside playground activities, sports and water play. An annual concert and graduation offer moments to celebrate growing up together.

Our Toddler Centre offers a safe, stimulating environment for young children to explore the world through play.
Fantasy play, puzzles and books invite discovery. Painting, drawing, pasting and playdough encourage creativity, while threading develops hands-on skills. Baking, dancing, outdoor play and free play bring variety to the day.

A structured programme gives children opportunities to develop the skills and confidence that help prepare them for formal schooling.
Theme discussions, creative and perceptual activities, music and movement sit alongside baking and science experiments. There’s also plenty to discover through fantasy play, puzzles, games, books, outdoor play and free play.
A child-centred foundationFor children approximately 3–5, including Grade R, the Pre-School programme combines High Scope and Montessori philosophy and principles.

For children up to approximately 10 years old, Fairy Glen is a welcoming place to settle in after school.
A smooth transition
Children are collected from school and transported safely back to Fairy Glen, where lunch awaits. Ask us which schools we collect from.

Homework is supervised, with children encouraged to work independently where appropriate and assistance available when needed.
Time to be a child
Baking, art, crafts, science experiments, board games and outdoor activities make room for creativity, friendship and fun.

The form submits these details to the website’s secure PHP handler, which uses Cloudflare Turnstile to check the request before sending the enquiry to Fairy Glen by email. The website does not store enquiry details in a database.
Please share only what is needed to answer your enquiry. Do not use this form to provide a child’s full name, identity documents, medical records or other sensitive information. If further information is needed for enrolment, please discuss the appropriate process directly with the school.
3. Why information is needed
Enquiry details allow Fairy Glen to respond to questions, discuss suitable care, provide requested information and arrange a visit. Contact the school if you wish to change or withdraw an enquiry. Information already required for another lawful purpose may still need to be retained.
4. Security and retention
Personal information should be protected through reasonable safeguards and kept only for as long as needed for its purpose or required by law. No website, email or messaging service can guarantee absolute security. For information about how your enquiry is stored, who can access it or how long it is retained, contact Karen at the address below.
5. Website services and cookies
This website does not set its own analytics or advertising cookies and does not save enquiry details in browser storage or a website database. Submitted details are transmitted to Fairy Glen by email. Website hosting services may process technical connection data such as an IP address and request logs. Cloudflare Turnstile protects the enquiry form and may process technical connection and challenge data.
Google Fonts is used to display the site’s typography and receives connection information when fonts load. Google Maps is loaded only when you choose “Load location map”. Google may then process connection and usage information and use cookies according to its own settings and policies. You can use the address provided without loading the map.
WhatsApp, your email provider and external websites operate under their own privacy terms. Those services may process information outside South Africa. Review their terms before sharing information. See Google’s Privacy Policy and WhatsApp’s Privacy Policy.
6. Photographs
The photographs show life and activities at Fairy Glen. If you are a parent or guardian with a concern about a photograph involving your child, please contact the school and identify the image so the concern can be reviewed.

Subject to applicable law, you may ask to access or correct your personal information, request deletion, object to processing, or withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. The school may need to verify your identity before handling a request. A request to delete information may be limited by legal retention requirements.
